Policy on Discounts For Harsh Times

This policy reflects our commitment to solidarity, fairness, and support. By offering discounts to candidates experiencing hardship, we aim to reduce barriers, encourage continued learning, and demonstrate that our institution values compassion alongside excellence.

Our approach ensures that every candidate, regardless of their situation, can pursue training opportunities with dignity and confidence.

1. Purpose

This policy ensures fairness and support for candidates who are experiencing personal or professional hardship by granting them financial relief in the form of discounts.

2. Scope

Applies to all candidates enrolling in training, certification, or compliance programs offered by the Occupational Safety Office.

3. Eligibility

Candidates may qualify for discounts if they demonstrate that they are experiencing one or more of the following:

  • Personal hardship (e.g., health challenges, family responsibilities, financial difficulties).
  • Professional hardship (e.g., unemployment, job transition, workplace instability).
  • Other exceptional circumstances that significantly affect their ability to pay full fees.

4. Discount Rates

  • Standard hardship discount: 10%.
  • Severe hardship (validated by documentation or declaration): 25%.

5. Verification

  • Candidates must provide a written declaration of their situation.
  • Supporting documentation may be requested (e.g., employer letter, medical note, or financial statement).
  • The cabinet reserves the right to approve or deny based on fairness and available resources.

6. Limitations

  • Discounts are non-cumulative with other offers.
  • Applicable only to the current enrollment.
